On 5/30/08, the San Rafael Traffic Unit conducted a DUI strike patrol as part of the STEP Grant (Selective Traffic Enforcement Program). Six officers and one Sergeant were deployed for the 10 hour operation. As a result, 18 motorists were cited and 4 vehicles were impounded. There were no DUI arrests.
