Traffic collisions decline, CHP says
There were no Marin County traffic fatalities within the California Highway Patrol's jurisidiction in the first half of this year, and traffic collisions were down as well, according to the CHP.

Humane Society's hens quickly adopted
The hens were a hit. The Marin Humane Society reported that as of 2 p.m. Thursday all 70 hens at the agency's Novato shelter had been adopted after they were offered for $5 each.
